One Wall in Warsaw

I’ve been wandering around Krakow and Warsaw this past week. I would not call the street art here amazing, but I would call it ubiquitous. It is mostly tagging and some stickers, but every once in a while something nicer shows up. This one wall is the side of a building housing the Academy of Fine Arts along Kredytowa street just west of the University of Warsaw. You will see one drawing in the road alongside the building as well. I thought the stencils were interesting.

    • Thank you Alessandro! I thought of you more than once while trying to take pictures of people on the street. “Just grin broadly and keep shooting away!” I think that was your basic advice? I’m not so comfortable doing that yet so I am focusing more on static things like street art, pigeons, and architecture. It seems in the Polish society that if you are smiling, there is already something wrong with you. Either that or you are an American, which might be the same thing to them. 😉

  1. Great! One thing leads to another. Toronto graf started out like this (20 years ago) However, the Polish artists may very well emerge. I hope they do. The 2nd wall showed some yummy bits!
