The overcast skies today really pop the colors in this slightly crooked shot.
What caught my eye was the green star artwork and then the two green exit signs.
I would like to credit the artist, but I don’t know who created this. One of the servers was nearby as I took this picture and he said it was his favorite piece in the place. The photo doesn’t do it justice. It’s really lovely – also slightly larger than this photo but I didn’t have a lens wide enough to capture the whole thing and a wall prevented me from backing away further.
Above our lunch table today at Water Buffalo are these large chunks of wood, hanging from hooks and chains at random-ish angles. It literally breaks up the geometry of the architecture and, despite the obvious weight of such large pieces, lends a lightheartedness to the space.
